How is mxping different from regex validation?

Regex only catches typos. mxping checks that the domain actually receives mail (MX records), flags disposable and role-based addresses, and returns a 0–100 deliverability score you can branch on.

Do you connect to the mailbox (SMTP)?

Not yet. Fast mode is DNS-based and runs in under 100 ms. A deep mode that probes the mailbox is planned for Growth and Scale plans; it will be announced in the changelog and enabled per account.

What's the latency?

Typically 20–80 ms for a cached domain and under 300 ms for a cold DNS lookup. Every response includes response_time_ms.

Do you store the emails I verify?

Verification results are kept in your account history so you can review them in the dashboard, and are automatically deleted after 13 months. Deleting your account removes them immediately. We never use them for anything else.

What happens when I hit my quota?

Requests return HTTP 429 with the code quota_exceeded until your period resets. You get an email at 80% and 100%. Upgrading takes effect immediately.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes — one click in the Stripe billing portal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period, then you drop to Free.
